My Johari turns 3 years in 2 days time!!!

Its the 15th of February 2011 and my precious little jewel turns 3 in two days time as we also get to remember and celebrate my late dad's 4th memorial since his demise -the same date and month-Interesting uh?
So lately my baby boy has been asking a myriad of questions, especially directed to Auntie Penny and Uncle Abu; Mummy questions are obvious, constant and un-ending-" Mummy who bought this?""Auntie Penny whats this?" "Uncle Abu where are you going?"He asks the questions boldly and expects quick answers!!Signs of leadership or management?Only God knows-
Lately my Johari is well acquainted with Chuck E Cheese and he well knows that his birthday party is gonna be at the same venue.Some days he wakes up and even before he brushes his teeth or does anything ; he just wants to go to Chuck E Cheese.Now, anybody who "wrongs" him or any object that makes him fall or hurts him is not coming to his birthday party at Chuck e Cheese; so we really have to be nice before we are shortlisted from the guests attending his 3rd birthday party!Wish us luck!
He has also discovered the ipod touch, kine-ct games etc and his list of cartoons has expanded from Barney to Elmo, Sponge bob, Caillou, Bob the builder, Sesame street etc.
That is the update on my baby boy who turns 3 in just 2 days!!!Happy birthday sweet jewel!!!God bless you as always; am so proud to be your mommy, thanks for giving me that rare privilege!!I love you now and always!!!!!!!!!

My oh my Happy New Year!!

Happy new year my Johari,
Its been a while since i blogged, all owed to the festivities and the change of season where am tempted to keep warm in my blankets than out of them unless its very necessary to step out of them.
So this year my Johari turns 3 years old and he is showing all the signs of growth because he now knows how a birthday party is celebrated-the venue, the cake story and the candle blowing!! So occasionally when we cook ugali-he will pretend to be blowing his birthday candles as i cook and then get a knife and cut the ugali,then he goes "Mummy, sing happy birthday to me" so then am ambushed to sing for him if i would like to enjoy some peace.So it looks like he is all set for his birthday party at Chuck E Cheese's on the 19th of Feb 2011 and all his friends and age mates are invited!
Another statement my Johari has acquired is "Mummy, say sorry to me!"any thing slight going out of the way he expected, he will demand a sorry from me and i have to do all the explaining why he does not deserve a sorry and when he deserves it i tell it to him very very fast so that he can learn to do the same to other people!
Generally since it is winter time,outdoor moves are limited and i always promise that immediately the sun "wakes" up we will be out briefly!
Otherwise so far so good and he already knows his numbers from 1 to 12 and letters W and Q.Wow!!
He has to start orienting for school so i have bought him a little school bag and thrown in there some few stickers, books, paint work and reading books.My Johari you are doing so so fine and we are so very proud of you!!Keep it up, we look forward to your upcoming birthday party!!Cant wait!!

You mean a lot to me Johari!!

My Johari,
Sometimes, i can hardly believe that the big boy i see when i look at you, used to be my tiny little baby, where did the time go? How did the moments turn into years that disappeared behind us at such great speed?
I am in awe at the changes that have taken place in you and sometimes it saddens me because that part of my life is over!
Yet i also feel the happiness and pride in having a son who is growing up well and nothing can dull or dampen the wonderful memories i have of you as my little boy.
The pride i have in you and the love i feel for you have continued to grow much like you have.
If you could look inside my heart and see the love there, if you could feel its strength and depth then you would know that you have fulfilled my life in ways no other person ever could!!

Whats most important in my life, and the things that make me happiest are all found in one perfect place; in my family!!
Whenever i see you, i know am looking at the smiling face of one of the most remarkable people i will ever have the privilege of knowing!
